Game-A-Thon On!
It's on! After months and months of anticipation, or maybe a few weeks, the Game-A-Thon is finally here... tears of joy, following by a mad dash for multiple credit cards, would be the appropriate reaction here...

How to we use the "First Game Free Shipping" that was earned during the last Game-A-Thon?
How does the game5 work for those of us who, during the last Game-a-thon, qualified for free shipping on the first item in THIS game-a-thon? Inquiring minds want to know!
Oh yeah, I need to know how to work that too...
Well, in spite of Tangathon and Game-a-thon excitement, I am off to bed. Hope I don't miss too many good deals. I did some obligatory GAT pimping at BGG.
If you qualified for free shipping from the last Game-A-Thon, you select "local Pickup" even though your items will be shipped. To recap, the following members qualified on purchase volume:

Auuuuuuuuu....gh. Eric... I want to play along, but I have so many unplayed games now from the last few times I participated in these. They have literally taken over my living room (a houseguest said, "It looks like you have some new ones.... some of them are shrinkwrapped...." Understatement of the year! :D
Wish I could work some kinda deal since it's my birthday in just over 2 weeks (the 5th), but maybe you'll run one in July... when I have money in my pocket again that's not going direct to bills. :)

This is why I tend to leave comments here or in GotD-related BGG threads. :D It's worked for me so far... (I do it because I'm terrible about reading and registering that an e-mail's come through, but never replying to them, myself...heh... so I just prefer not to deal with it....
Well, I doubt I'll be buying too much this time around, but I'll be keeping an eye on things. I'll probably come back with a few suggestions tomorrow to see what kind of damage I can do as well. But I have to go sleep for now.

Matt, I'm sorry I must have missed your email. I got in Seafarers so only that last little Runebound expansion is missing (I've given up for the time being on Twilight so will be canceling that one).
Darn. I ordered Ubongo on 5/30 for $24.99, and I'm still waiting for it. Now it's up for $21.99. I guess that will teach me to order during the regular offerings.

I have checked the site on and off for the last 12 hours and it's always the same 5 games (settlers travel, cartagena, bolide, stratagem, and shadows minis).
I'm starting to wonder if this is really a game-a-thon or if we're just getting five games for the day.
There have been a couple others that have passed through, Vikings and Zooloretto being the two I bit on, but yeah, seems a bit stalled right now.

while I love mystery packs, I need a little more info before I buy one from here. Maybe at least the value of the games or such. Just saying 4 games for so much kinda makes me worry.
I've been very happy with the games I have received in mystery packs from Eric. Not one of them has been a dud. There have been games that I normally would not have tried, but found out I like. Unlike other sites that ship games that they can't sell because no one wants. I grabbed the 4 pack of card games earlier, and will grab other mystery packs if they become available. Think of it as playing a game where both players win...Eric makes a sale, and you get a surprise prize.
That is encouraging...I have sworn off Tanga trash for a good while.
Brandon - you missed out on good trash from Tanga the last time too - I swore off it after all the girlie calendars showed up. My wife wasn't amused. But I dipped my toe in again last time and pulled out Hollywood Blockbuster. Many people pulled out some good games (Ra, Bridges of Shangri-La, etc.) and someone got a pretty nice digital camera.
Does this portend a disappointing tanga trash this time around? Don't know but it will probably be hard to resist...

yes, the one Tanga just sold for $79.99 - that's the one that was included in someone's trash last time. Polaroid 10M digicam.
oh yeah, the other thing a lot of people got was "Quip It!" Not typical BGG fare, but quite popular and easily resold.

So you keep reposting the items at a slightly lower price until someone buys it? As a buyer, you have to decide when to jump. Wait too long and miss the deal, jump too early and pay too much.

Wow! You really outdid Tanga on this thon in my opinion. I really appreciate you listening to your customers, and selling what is requested, instead of trying to dump neopet garbage. I would make about 10 more purchases, but the missus would kill me.

hutch: You need to use the game5 coupon code on each purchase after the first game.
It saves you $5 on shipping, and combines multiple games into one shipment. Of course, if you use it on a game that they've mentioned will ship later, the whole shipment will be delayed.
You may be able to ask Eric to modify your order for you, though.
I dunno, as long as I use the Game5 coupon for all of my further purchases, they get combined automatically.
