And now for a serious question... Some very popular heavier strategy games have been very successfully adapted to card games (San Juan from Puerto Rico; Caylus Magna Cart from Caylus; Settlers of Catan card game from Settlers of Catan). How successful of a conversion do you find "Euphrates and Tigris" to be from "Tigris and Euphrates"?
Unfortunately I picked up Bootleggers on eBay brand new a few weeks ago. Thankfully it was for around the same price.
Anyway I just wanted to remind those who buy Bootleggers that Eagle games accidentally left out the double influence cards in some copies of Bootleggers. If you get a copy without the double influence cards you can email Eagle games or just use a roll of the dice as a rule adaption to decide weather or not an influence card is double influence. I got my 2 double influence cards seperately.
Hope this helps someone. Bootleggers is one of my favorite games and it doesn't even have pirates. LOL!
ahh... just looked, they did some to delete a few. interesting. The only thing I posted was an inane, "fourth?" comment. As the first two posts were, "FIRST" and "second".
If this was the full version of T&E I'd be all over it! Unfortunately the reviews seem to imply that you need to have played T&E and enjoy this card version.
As for the missing influence cards on Bootleggers, I emailed both the authors of the game, and Keith Blume who is/was in charge of the games from Eagle games. Don Byer directed me to Keith Blume, who acknowledged and assured me 3 times that he was mailing me the replacement cards, as he said they were to be mailed the next day. This was over a period of 3 months, each time saying they would be mailed soon. He never fullfilled his assurance of replacement, so be wary as the game might be missing them. The author couldn't do much because Eagle published the game, and went kaput'. Some people have had luck getting the replacements, and some have not. I assume they just ran out and did not reprint. All is not lost though, as you get 2 extra Single Influence cards that you can manually write DI on them to make it up. However, there are also 2 missing cards you can use to make your own rule on. Just a heads up.

Looks like Tanga is editing/deleting comments. I see a reference to a post of yours, but I don't see the post. Care to comment?

Still a good lineup for tonight though :-)

Loved the "What they say about it" quote, bro...
Yes. I just couldn't help myself.
