I think Thief is a little better than the ratings at BGG... but I have to admit I never would have considered it as a potential top 5 SDJ nominee. There were several others I would have been far less surprised to see there.

From reading the reviews, it seems like the lightest of the games nominated? I know it sounds alot lighter than Arkadia & Yspahan.

Re: Amigo's Pompeii. I do not believe it comes with English rules/components. However, there is apparently no text on the board or playing pieces whatsoever, so the only "English" you need is the rulebook, which is available as a fully colored PDF download from the publisher (Amigo) itself:
Battle Line has been out of print for a while, but GMT recently announced they are going to reprint it soon. I wouldn't hold my breath or anything, the wheels of GMT grind slowly, but it'll be coming eventually.
There is NO way Runebound 2nd edition is too mainstream. The latest big box expansion has been up here MANY times over the past 2 game-a-thon's. In fact, I am waiting for my copy to get there so my stuff can ship...
If you subscribe to the RSS feed, you'll see posts go there about things that got put up and may have disappeared. It doesn't seem to catch everything, but it can tell you about some things.
It seems like games kind of go up in a rush - if you see one new game go up, you'll likely see several go up shortly thereafter. Particularly if you see a request go up - once No Thanks! went up, Pompeii, Minotaur Lords, Fiji, Leonardo Da Vinci and My Dwarves Fly all went up in pretty quick succession (thanks Eric!).
I wouldn't mind seeing Mykerinos, Starship Catan, Seafarers of Catan, the Catan card game (+ expansion), and the other big box Runebound expansions... :)

Does the Amigo version of Pompeii come with English rules or will they need to be downloaded from BGG?
Mare Nostrum - can only get the expansion, which wouldn't do you much good without the base game if you don't have it. The base adds a lot, though.

I don't recall whether the Amigo version of Pompeii comes with English rules, but they are easy to find. Does anyone else happen to know?

Re: Amigo's Pompeii. I do not believe it comes with English rules/components. However, there is apparently no text on the board or playing pieces whatsoever, so the only "English" you need is the rulebook, which is available as a fully colored PDF download from the publisher (Amigo) itself:

Battle Line has been out of print for a while, but GMT recently announced they are going to reprint it soon. I wouldn't hold my breath or anything, the wheels of GMT grind slowly, but it'll be coming eventually.
I'll put in a request for Starship Catan (although with my luck it will pop up and I'll miss it).

There is NO way Runebound 2nd edition is too mainstream. The latest big box expansion has been up here MANY times over the past 2 game-a-thon's. In fact, I am waiting for my copy to get there so my stuff can ship...
If you subscribe to the RSS feed, you'll see posts go there about things that got put up and may have disappeared. It doesn't seem to catch everything, but it can tell you about some things.
It seems like games kind of go up in a rush - if you see one new game go up, you'll likely see several go up shortly thereafter. Particularly if you see a request go up - once No Thanks! went up, Pompeii, Minotaur Lords, Fiji, Leonardo Da Vinci and My Dwarves Fly all went up in pretty quick succession (thanks Eric!).
I wouldn't mind seeing Mykerinos, Starship Catan, Seafarers of Catan, the Catan card game (+ expansion), and the other big box Runebound expansions... :)

I do have a question though. I want that munchkin cthulhu but the $7 shipping breaks the deal for me. Star munchkin is the same size, cards, weight but is only $5 for shipping. I'd be in for it if it matched. Is it because it's newer?
no, slightly larger because it's a 162 cards instead of 112... but what the heck. it's almost Father's Day. Every Dad or potential Dad has to have his Munchkin fix! I'll change it.

Yeah, I'm loving all the Runebound too even though I promised myself that I was done buying. I may have to break down and pick up a few class decks.
