The way it works is that the first game you order, you pay the full shipping price for. Then on all future purchases during the thon, you enter game5 to get 5 bucks off. Comboship code isn't what you want to use for this thon..
Example... You order Ark of the Covenant for $11.99 and pay $7.00 in shipping. Then you order Elfenland for $14.99, and enter game5 at checkout, The shipping will adjust from $7.00 down to $2.00.

I just got turned onto this site a few weeks ago. Very cool. One of the games I've been looking at but not picked up yet is Ticket to Ride. Whichever edition is the easiest/best to get into. And while we're at it, how about the deluxe edition of Save Dr. Lucky?

Ticket To Ride USA is the best to start with. Europe adds a little complexity and Marklin adds even more. If you buy the USA version, try to find the USA 1910 expansion (bigger (normal-sized) cards and more destination tickets make the game even more enjoyable).

Anyone have any good or bad things to say about Winds of Plunder? I love all things Pirate games but I'm on the fence about this one. I already spent over 160 today on games here. Oooh and what about the Czar game? On the fence too. BGG has good and bad on both!
I would dig basic Carcassone, Settlers, Arkham Horror, Starcraft, Doom, among others.
I love the surprises like Hispania, never knew about it, seems to be real good. Unless its a wargame, I only buy if my kids can or soon will be able to play.

cjheart - I have an opinion but I'm not sure I'm an unbiased source.
If you like pirate themes and euro games, you should really like Winds of Plunder. Some think there is too much luck involved with the cards, but it really has a lot of interesting choices. It gets a lot of high marks for production values/component quality as well.
Message to the Czar is a good game if played with the winning moves rules variant. The Rio Grande rules as published lead to some frustration because the endgame has too much luck, making everything leading up to it seem moot. But with the published variant, the game is much improved.
Winds of Plunder seems like it might be more up your alley.

One question. What is happend with Arkham Horror? Is it out of print?
No, Arkham is not out of print. We are all waiting on a reprint, it was supposed to be available this month but looks like it will be longer. Still there are copies of the base game at some retailers and the most recent expansion (King in Yellow) is still stocked in the channel.

That is an amazing deal for Blokus! $13.99?? How are you able to do that? It's $34.99 at my local TRU. I was even impressed a couple of weeks ago when I bought it from here for $18.99. Anyone considering the game should pick it up now at that amazing price!!!!
I'd like to second the request for a list of games already offered during the Thon.
Also I see some people said they haven't gotten their games from the last thon. How often tdo these Thon's happen? I'm gonna need a second job. LOL
Last thon ran at the same time as the tangathon - about a week and a half ago. But it lasted at least two days longer than tanga.
Typically there would be about one per month. But by popular request, to give folks something to do during the many "down times" during a Tangathon, we have been running them concurrently with Tangathons.
Tempus, Fairy Tale, Khronos, Thebes, Around the World in 80 days, Infernal Contraption...these would be great! But Through the Ages would be the BEST!
Factory Fun, Red Dragon Inn...to name a few more...by the way I've already spent a ton, keep up the good work.

cjheart - check your account page at google, something is messed up - your order of California bounced back and was canceled by Google. I'm guessing something triggered a fraud alert on your credit card.
I'm trying to check my account but it won't even bring up a shopping cart or payment info. Just lets me edit my email and password and keeps bringing me back to that page. How do I fix this? My credit is working fine at Tanga? But I'm calling the bank. Any other ideas please?

cjheart - I'm still guessing fraud alert on the card you have on file with google checkout, you should be able to load a different card to use with GCO if all else fails.
Game of the day: There isn't a place for me to change my credit card. That link seems gone? Do you have a number for google I can call?? I can't even find a place to contact them and I need this all straight I'm missing games but more importantly freaking out that my credit cards are being held hostage and I can't add delete or see them??
Hank - if the order that takes you over $150 is over $10, it will be taken off there when it is charged. I don't charge until shipment so you won't see the credit until the items are charged.
One thing I've found useful is to let your credit card company know that you're going to be making several online charges beforehand...just a tip.
Just a tip...let your CC company know you will be making several online purchases beforehand so they don't see anything they deem unusual.
cjheart - when you sign out of your google account, then sign back in to "my account", you should have a screen that lists personal information on the left and services on the right. Under personal information on the left, you should have a section called "Default Payment method" which you should be able to edit.

Yesterday, I had a lot of problems buying stuff from this page. I found out that it have to be some problems with the firewall in my company system. I went home and then I could buy there the game I wanted.

Just a quick suggestion. I am unable to make any purchases using my phone. The buy button isn't functional with Windows Mobile 5. Not a big deal, but I am often out and about, and would be unable to make a purchase if something good came up while I was away from my computer.

I thought it was pretty decent. We played with three and had a good time. I have only played once though. There is some ambiguity on some of the cards that prompted some house rules. Game has fantastic bits. Very, very pretty. It is kinda like Pirate's Cove. Basically, you draw cards that have missions on them, such as killing two other pirates, or sailing between two ports on the map. When you complete missions, you get gems and gold. Once you have X amount of gems or gold you win. The guy who is in the lead usually gets ganged up on, so it is pretty cool fun. I like it, but ymmv.

Let's just say they've screwed up my inventory listings on other sites, including greatest of times, with bad inventory feeds. It's one thing to rename "Ticket to Ride" as "Target Ticket to Ride" game. It's something else to rename it "Target Memoir '44 Game". I couldn't even find some of my inventory as a result.
